About The Position

This role involves managing complex programs consistent with Oceaneering values and guidelines, focusing on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and business ethics. The Project Manager IV will apply knowledge of program and project management competencies to manage key elements such as integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risks, procurement, and stakeholders to meet project requirements. The position also requires applying personal competencies in communication, leadership, management, cognitive abilities, effectiveness, and professionalism to lead the program team. This role will lead a team of project managers, assign tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure program goals align with Oceaneering Technologies and ADTECH's strategic objectives. The role involves formulating and organizing inter-connected projects, deciding on strategies, coordinating cross-project activities, leading and evaluating project managers and staff, developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and activities, and applying change, risk, and resource management. The Project Manager IV will assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors, assess program performance to maximize ROI, resolve higher scope issues, prepare reports for program directors, and collaborate with other managers to manage program resources. Additionally, the role will work with Business Development to develop new projects and programs and support continuous improvement by reviewing lessons learned and suggesting process changes. Additional duties may be assigned. The role includes supervisory responsibilities, managing other project and program managers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, with a major in an Engineering discipline preferred.
Extensive experience in shipboard systems, operations, and maritime capabilities.
10+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
10+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a projectized matrix environment.
PMP/CAPM (or Govt Equivalent) Certification or achieved within 3 years.
Have and maintain Top Secret security clearance.
Technical writing and editing skills.
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
Strong Interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact with customer representatives.
Ability to support technical reviews of various documentation and other project deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and work independently.
Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
Computer skills in Excel and Other Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of P6, EVMS, MS Project, Contract Comprehension, FAR/DFAR, CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Apply knowledge of personal competencies of communication, leadership, management, cognitive abilities, effectiveness, and professionalism to lead the program team in meeting the project objectives.
Lead a team of project managers, and assign tasks as guided by the program plan, setting and communicating clear expectations.
Ensure that program goals and objectives remain aligned with the overall strategic objectives of Oceaneering Technologies and ADTECH.

Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
Coordinate cross-project activities
Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

Work with other Program and Functional Managers to manage program resources

Support the company’s objective of continuous improvement by reviewing, incorporating and contributing to lessons learned, and suggesting changes to process and procedure in order to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of program execution.

Supervisory Responsibilities, to include managing other project and program managers, as assigned.
