RES is seeking a Project Manager IV to lead large-scale, complex projects across ecological restoration, water resource management, and infrastructure resilience. This senior-level role requires an experienced leader capable of managing high-risk, high-value projects while mentoring teams and advancing technical excellence across the company. This position will be responsible for full project lifecycle management—from planning to execution to closeout—while acting as a subject matter expert and strategic partner in regulatory, technical, and business development initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in applied sciences, engineering, or construction.
  • 10+ years of direct project management experience.
  • Proven success managing complex, multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong command of project controls, including Opportunity Charters, PM Plans, Risk Registries, and MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, budget, and deliver projects on time, on budget, and in compliance.
  • Skilled in financial reporting—budgets, revenue forecasting, margins, and percent complete.
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Deep technical expertise in one or more specialized domains.
  • Experience using PM tools and software as a central part of your communication and planning toolkit.
  • Familiarity with evaluating regulatory, technical, and financial risk for go/no-go decisions.
  • Lead with clarity and confidence, even when the stakes are high.
  • Know how to motivate and mentor teams across disciplines and geographies.
  • Communicate with purpose—whether you're briefing executives, coaching a junior PM, or negotiating with regulators.
  • Anticipate obstacles and solve problems before they become issues.
  • Think both strategically and tactically—keeping the big picture in mind while executing with discipline.
  • Take accountability seriously—for the work, the people, and the outcomes.
  • Care deeply about building resilient environments and resilient teams.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Advanced degree or professional license (e.g., PE, PG).
  • Experience influencing regulatory policy at the state, regional, or national level.
  • Demonstrated leadership of regional or national initiatives to improve project delivery or technical performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale, complex projects across ecological restoration, water resource management, and infrastructure resilience.

  • Mentor teams and advance technical excellence across the company.
  • Responsible for full project lifecycle management—from planning to execution to closeout.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic partner in regulatory, technical, and business development initiatives.
  • Manage internal design staff, subcontractors in the field, and regional leadership.
  • Contract negotiation with key clients.
  • Develop project recovery plans.
  • Run working sessions with PMs across the region to align on technical performance improvements.
  • Review financial reports.
  • Prep for go/no-go evaluations.
  • Contribute to proposals for major new opportunities.
