About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that all projects meet client expectations, provide support to sales and design, coordinate all activity including but not limited to; construction meetings, field dimensioning/layout, pre order prep, submittal and order entry reviews, scheduling, installation coordination, including all subcontractors to make certain that the project is completed on time and to the budget quoted, act as a liaison for the project’s entirety with sales, client, internal operational departments and external vendors including manufacturers, required to follow up on all punch list issues and processing of all project closeout requirements.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in the industry
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle a high volume of detailed work, and the ability to multitask
  • Technical aptitude required
  • Proficient with construction schedules, lead times, and product knowledge, and strengths and weaknesses
  • Complete understanding of profit and loss implications of product and service markups and how they relate to gross profit margins and gross profit dollars - strive to achieve and maintain predetermined gross profit margins
  • Ability to work as part of a team & create synergy amongst team members to produce at higher levels.
  • Provide a high level of Customer Service support by communicating effectively on an ongoing basis.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal car required with valid insurance limits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people inside and outside of COR:
  • Must be able to read, write, interpret, and communicate fluently in English
  • Must be able to read and understand construction documents and spec books.
  • Writing skills must be sufficient to compose and edit a variety of documents using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and proofread work carefully
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and use new computer programs/applications

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for information relating to site review and analysis, order review, schedule planning, delivery, installation, and other related services in a timely fashion.
  • Complete understanding of how to bring a project/order through the entire Creative Office Resources system (i.e. reviewing overall design, product specifications, coordinating field dimensions, preparation and presentation of product and service quotes, establishing a documented schedule for COR/Client review, work with factory shipping information, project walk-through with documentation of punch-list and an aggressive completion of punch-list items with ongoing punch-list status to the client)
  • Provide order status reports to the team, including site visit and substantial completion reports.
  • Utilizes all technology tools to support their job function, i.e., iPad, Laptop, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, The Bridge, Autodesk Construction Cloud, as well as all tools required to complete accurate field dimensions.
  • Update projects in CORE/The Bridge in a timely manner using all the correct symbols to alert the COR operational staff involved with the project.
  • Upon receipt of the Project Management/Design registration form, meet with Sales and Design to be involved from the onset of the project as part of the project Kick Off meeting.
  • Request Certificate of Insurance when applicable to meet the requirements of the building or project/owner.
  • Understand the full scope of the project to determine the best Delivery and Installation solution.
  • Required to ship product directly when possible and responsible for notifying the subcontracted labor well in advance to communicate the Estimated Install dates
  • Develop and manage the phasing of the project by generating a Project Micro Schedule that meets the client’s move-in date as well as meets the needs of the GC and other associated trades working on site.
  • Confirm and verify critical field dimensions and evaluate overall space to meet specifications
  • Coordination and locating of electric, data, phone, and junction box/infeed/core locations as required.
  • Review drawings and specifications prior to order entry to determine how the project should be phased out for receiving and installation
  • Schedules orders, monitors shipping and installation dates, and generates timely delivery tickets to the warehouse
  • Meet with the project Foremen prior to the first day of installation.
  • Be on site during project Delivery.
  • Be on site on the first day of installation, and then on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform final walk-through with client / GC and compile punch list that must be provided to client and customer service within 24 hours of completion of project
  • Follows up on customer problems, such as back orders, damaged products, punch-list items in a timely manner. Tracks progress of punch-list utilizing CORE.
  • Be on site to oversee the D&I of the punch list and confirm that all the work was completed to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Obtain signed Delivery Tickets or signed Work Order from the client, and written punch lists from our subcontractors
  • Close out all projects for month-end billing on a weekly basis
  • Accountable for Change Orders and providing written documentation to both the client and sales
  • Maintain and enter information into PM’s status reports in a timely manner
  • Attend weekly and monthly Project Management meetings, trainings, and technology and process meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned, duties are subject to change due to personal growth, organization's development, and/or technological/industry advancements
  • Adapt to changes in process and responsibilities as outlined by management and agree to work the hours required to achieve the agreed-upon goals
