About The Position

Project Manager tracks and organizes internal and external projects. Manages the internal activities of the group from a scope, task, budget, and status perspective. These projects are often complex, affect many users and can often be multi-year and multi-phased projects. Project Manager will also assist with gathering requirements for external projects and organizing them into projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field
  • PMP Certification or Equivalent within 12 months of hire
  • 5- 7 years of previous work related experience or project manager experience
  • Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Visio
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication and analytic skills.
  • All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on planning, executing, and monitoring internal group projects and tasks of various size, scope and complexity.
  • Leads project leader on multi-phase projects, which could include network switch, cabling, and Wi-Fi network infrastructure implementation and other technologies.
  • Works with other Information Services departments to gather requirements of the network infrastructure or Clinical operations.
  • Holds regular status meetings with Operations Managers and Network Engineers
  • Regularly delivers status reports to Department Heads
  • Maintains project documents and documentation in accordance with internal team standards
  • Ensure schedules are met on time and within budget
  • Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology.
  • Pro-active in risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrates superior collaboration skills, ability to resolve conflicts, ensures open communication across project teams.
  • Will travel between New York-Presbyterian campuses to meet and work with project stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • If InfoSec, develops technical specifications and requirements for information security initiatives and projects.
  • Installs and implements information security tools and solutions.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members and project leaders, including training plans.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
