About The Position

The Project Manager III manages high-complexity, high-impact customer projects with moderate to high risk profiles and significant business impact. This role exercises broad autonomy in delivery decisions, directly supervises a team of Project Coordinators and Project Managers, and serves as a senior escalation resource for complex client situations. The PM III contributes to delivery standards, mentors junior team members, and drives delivery excellence across the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage high-complexity, high-risk projects with significant business and client impact
  • Experienced in executive client relationship management; recognized as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
  • Proven supervisory skills with a track record of developing high-performing project delivery teams
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and consensus-building skills across all levels of an organization
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and billing
  • Proactive escalation management; able to navigate difficult client conversations and complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Contributes to organizational improvement through process development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Displays uncompromised ethical standards and personal integrity in all situations

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent high-complexity customer projects with full autonomy over scope, schedule, budget, and risk decisions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value or complex client accounts, owning the executive delivery relationship throughout the project lifecycle
  • Independently translate client Statements of Work and work orders into comprehensive project plans with clearly defined deliverables and milestones
  • Directly supervise and develop a team of Project Coordinators and Project Managers, including performance management, coaching, and hiring
  • Proactively manage client escalations, change orders, and complex expectation management scenarios
  • Oversee project financials including spend-to-date, forecasted spend, budget burn rate, and billing accuracy
  • Create and maintain robust project controls: action item lists, risk logs, issue logs, change control, and decision logs
  • Serve as a senior escalation resource for project-level issues and client situations requiring experienced judgment
  • Drive structured project and operations meetings; ensure decisions and action items are clearly communicated and executed
  • Contribute to process improvement, methodology development, and best practice documentation
  • Mentor PM I and PM II team members, sharing expertise and supporting professional development across the team
  • Partner with Program Managers on cross-functional alignment and program-level initiatives as needed
