About The Position

GBS has an opportunity for a Project Manager to coordinate interdependent projects and ongoing operations to achieve defined business objectives, providing oversight of complex, multi disciplinary projects while ensuring cost, schedule, risk, and technical requirements are met. The role involves collaborating with Program Managers, managing external stakeholders, and developing comprehensive program plans (communication, risk, change, quality, etc.), with a focus on contract performance and resource optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering discipline, or related field.
  • Six (6) + years of experience in program management or senior-level project management.
  • Six (6) + years of experience managing a team or segment of an organization.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Work in an office environment 75% of most workdays, this is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordinated management of interdependent and related projects and for supporting ongoing operations directed towards a common objective including the achievement of a set of business-related goals.
  • Manages and provides programmatic oversight over programs of increased scope and complexity; may provide support to a more senior Program Manager.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
  • Maintains responsibility for all technical and managerial aspects of contract performance, including implementation, technical assistance and program life-cycle support.
  • Determines and coordinates the sharing of resources to the overall benefit of the program. Ensures projects within purview comply with cost, budget, schedule, WBS, risk, technical requirements and established company practices in order to meet project/program commitments.
  • Responsible for the overall management of stakeholder’s external to the organization such as customers and subcontractors.
  • Develops program plans as appropriate such as Communication, Risk, Interface, Change, Transition, Resource, Purchase and Acquisitions, Quality, and Contracting Management planning.
