About The Position

Leads a team of individuals across the organization working together to define and or accomplish a stated goal. Manages and coordinates the work of the team towards the successful completion of the assigned project; on time and on budget. Will routinely be required to be a SME to direct team decisions and aid handoff to continued/ongoing SME. The employee must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of core operating systems and understanding of business needs through all departments. Critical thinking and technical skills are needed to provide the organization with the most viable solutions possible to support the business growth.

Requirements

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is a requirement: Operations, Information Technology or Process improvement.
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing people is a requirement.
  • A four-year college degree, or completion of project management training courses in combination with job related specializations of product or service implementation equivalent to education.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the credit unions Core Operating System.
  • Understanding of all regulations including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions.
  • Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an organized and disciplined approach to project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develops and maintains project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, RAID-D logs, stakeholder registers, communication plans, and other required PMO artifacts. Applies Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and other project delivery methodologies based on project needs.
  • Leads and coordinates cross-functional teams, SMEs, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. Monitors project performance, manages risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and changes, and provides project status updates to governance committees, executive sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards and governance requirements while supporting business readiness, testing, training, implementation, operational handoff, and project closure activities. Maintains project documentation, captures lessons learned, and contributes to continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Acts as a project management subject matter expert and provides guidance, training, and mentoring to support successful project delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Symitar & Temenos functionality and capabilities for front line processes; Creates reports within platforms; Performs system research as requested; Assists in data validation as requested
