About The Position

This role involves evaluating the requirements of the scope of work, analyzing resources, and developing and maintaining project schedules for projects. The position requires working closely with internal and/or external teams to understand project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines, examining resource requirements, and liaising between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders. The Project Manager II will utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines, plan meetings to align the project team, create project plans, timelines, and milestone achievements, and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines. Performance will be measured and monitored through project status reports. The role also involves coordinating project team efforts, initiating corrective actions, ensuring project visibility and communication, collecting post-project feedback, and ensuring project documents are complete and stored appropriately. Additionally, maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety and ergonomic standards, and performing comparable duties are expected. Continuous learning and promotion of the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years related experience, or experience in lieu of education.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in Project Manager I.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Advanced ability to multitask and manage resources.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications.
  • High level of patience and service.
  • Ability to motivate team members.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

  • PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal (and/or external) teams to understand the scope of work, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.
  • Examine resource requirements and availability needed for project.
  • Liaises between project members, cross functional teams, external vendors and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, schedule, requirements, cost and meeting plans are communicated.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones and deadlines.
  • Plans meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track tasks.
  • Create project plans, timelines, and milestone achievements.
  • Ensures adherence to project plans and timelines to be met by internal and external resources.
  • Measure and monitor project performance. Create and review project status reports.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the project team through detailed planning efforts.
  • Initiates corrective actions as necessary as they relate to the project.
  • Ensure appropriate visibility and communication of the project.
  • Collect post-project feedback to look for issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that all project documents are complete and stored appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
