About The Position

This is an opportunity for a results-driven, team-oriented leader to manage projects from design through release and program closeout, ensuring successful delivery to customers. The role involves developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. This role typically involves managing simpler projects and serves as an introduction to people management. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current Active Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
  • Experience with risk management planning and documentation.
  • Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution.
  • Experience in resource planning and management during project execution.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & CMMI process standards.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects or a larger project, overseeing all phases from proposal development to project closeout.
  • Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, and identify appropriate resources.
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.
  • Communicate project status with senior project managers, functional area managers, or program managers.
  • Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects by developing and adhering to schedules.
  • Remain agile and flexible to adapt to frequent changes in project requirements or scope.
