The City of Oakland is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and community-centered leader to serve as its Ceasefire Director. This role is an opportunity to lead one of the City’s most important and successful strategies for reducing gun violence, saving lives, and building safer communities. The Ceasefire Director will be at the center of a powerful partnership committed to preventing violence and creating pathways to safety, healing, and opportunity. Serving as the primary liaison among the Mayor’s Office, the Oakland Police Department, the Department of Violence Prevention, community-based organizations, service providers, faith leaders, survivors, victims’ families, and criminal justice partners, the Director will bring diverse stakeholders together around a shared mission. This role offers the opportunity to coordinate Oakland’s overall Ceasefire strategy, strengthen collaboration across agencies and communities, and ensure that every partner remains aligned, informed, and focused on achieving measurable results. The Project Manager II Selective Certification - CeaseFire position requires additional qualifications above the general Project Manager II qualifications.
