Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management from an accredited school or University.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with internal/external clients.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality control and deliverable submission.
  • Experience with appropriate software tools (Microsoft Office, MS Project).
  • Demonstrated experience managing successful projects of complexity.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with: Project Management, Project Controls, and Construction Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large project teams in the successful execution of complex, high-risk projects, serving as the primary project advocate and communication point.
  • Execute projects involving multiple site locations and manage diverse project teams across various remote offices and locations.
  • Direct project-related activities of a Project Coordinator and/or an Associate Project Manager.
  • Develop project proposals for significant projects, ensuring clear understanding of scope and terms by all disciplines.
  • Facilitate proposal development, including complex project execution plans, estimation, compilation, and on-time delivery.
  • Facilitate a legal review by TRC Legal Staff prior to contract signing.
  • Procure subcontracted services and materials through competitive quotes.
  • Compile and evaluate project risks, including probability, impact, and mitigation planning.
  • Plan and develop strategic project cash flows.
  • Manage project resources, ensuring adequate assignment, monitoring man-hours against budget, and executing subcontractor management and procurement.
  • Manage multiple remote resources and coordinate activities across multiple offices.
  • Manage project financials, ensuring budgeted costs and profits are met or improved, and strategize to increase project margins.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive change order management.
  • Establish and maintain project cash flows.
  • Facilitate efficient and strategic project billing in accordance with company accounting practices.
  • Implement earned value tracking and cost performance reporting.
  • Manage project schedules, including development and upkeep for complex projects, understanding and sequencing critical construction milestones.
  • Implement or direct the development of resource and cash-loaded schedules.
  • Understand and ensure adherence to the Power Delivery Quality Control Program, including appropriate time, resources, and schedule milestones.
  • Manage project administration, including proper capture and filing of all project documentation (contracts, invoices, meeting minutes, reports, communications).
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and TRC management through timely reporting, efficient meetings, and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Prioritize project safety through safety leadership and adherence to TRC and client safety policies.
