This Project Manager role is responsible for leading medium to large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that support the Commercial Division's strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, and business growth objectives. This role manages projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment to business goals, adherence to timelines, management of risks and dependencies, and achievement of intended outcomes. Working across Commercial functions including Product, Claims, Operations, IT, Data & Analytics, Reinsurance, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and external partners, and serves as a trusted delivery leader who drives execution, facilitates decision-making, and enables successful business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong project management expertise, partner engagement skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence without direct authority in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of related experience, including a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience assisting, coordinating or leading complex projects.
  • Experience managing project risks, budgets, timelines, and partner engagement activities.
  • Superb communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence partners and drive alignment without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within commercial insurance, insurance technology, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting product launches, strategic partnerships, system implementations, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and organizational adoption practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large-scale strategic, operational, and technology-enabled initiatives across the Commercial Division.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decision logs.
  • Facilitate project governance activities, executive reviews, and stakeholder decision-making forums.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Coordinate activities among business, technology, operational, and external teams.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Claims, Product, Operations, Data, IT, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Marketing.
  • Identify and resolve barriers to execution, raising risks when appropriate.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across project teams.
  • Assess project impacts, dependencies, resource constraints, and implementation readiness.
  • Align projects with division goals, growth objectives, and customer experience priorities.
  • Develop executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and project updates.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, decisions, and recommendations to partners at all levels.
  • Support leadership presentations, project reviews, and operational reporting processes.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to established SPMO standards and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Change Management and Communications teams to support successful implementation and adoption of project outcomes.
  • Ensure partner impacts, training needs, communications requirements, and readiness considerations are identified early in the project lifecycle.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor project outcomes and adoption indicators to ensure intended business value is achieved.
