About The Position
Manages capital improvement projects in the Public Works Department from the planning to closeout to ensure compliance with all City standards and regulations. Work is performed under direction with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Seeks technical guidance on unusual or complex problems or issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or closely related field
- Five or more years’ experience in construction management and/or public works engineering and infrastructure projects
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment
- Valid Florida driver’s license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment
- Must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully
- Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment
- PROOF OF EDUCATION AND DOCUMENTATION DEMONSTRATING APPLICANT MEETS POSITION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF APPLICATION
Nice To Haves
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and Professional Engineer (PE) certifications are preferred
