The Project Manager I is responsible for the administration of assigned projects, including specific phases of project management under supervision. This role involves working with schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports. The Project Manager I will manage and direct construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project sites, working directly with owners/clients, field superintendents, subcontractors, internal accounting, and the construction management team. Responsibilities include estimating quantities and costs, participating in sales presentations, design development, budget preparation, and project scheduling. The role also involves sharing job cost responsibility with a supervising Project Manager or Director of Construction, preparing and controlling budgets, schedules, and bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts, and helping to prepare profit projections. The Project Manager I will conduct jobsite coordination meetings, prepare job status reports, and manage project close-out duties, including final cost, punch lists, final billing, and final collection of fees. This position will work on low-rise and mid-rise projects ranging from $1 - $60+ million and requires domestic travel up to 50% of the time. The Project Manager I will supervise one Project Engineer Intern.
