About The Position

This role supports a number of key programs within the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will be familiar with American College of Surgeons (ACS) Trauma Center verification regulations and reporting requirements. The Project Manager supports Brigham & Women’s Hospital’s Trauma Program. This entails managing and facilitating required Trauma Program education courses and ongoing support for triannual reverification visits for the Hospital’s status as a Level I Trauma Center. The Project Manager also provides administrative support to members of the Trauma Program team. The Project Manager will also be involved in key components of the Division’s revenue cycle management. The billing and operations aspect of the position focuses on obtaining referrals/prior-authorizations and working through Division denials, and requires fluency in billing-related issues. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who shows initiative, is goal-oriented with strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills, and has the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study
  • Project management experience (2-3 years)
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines and experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with American College of Surgeons (ACS) Trauma Center verification regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Fluency in billing-related issues.

Responsibilities
