About The Position

The Wasserstrom Company, a leading Food Service Distributor established in 1902, is seeking a Project Manager for its Regional Equipment Division in Phoenix, AZ. This role is crucial for generating sales through existing accounts and cultivating new business opportunities within the Regional Equipment sector. The position involves direct client interaction, technical consultation, and sales contract management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; OR 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the Foodservice equipment and supplies field is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales through existing accounts and identify/cultivate new accounts for Regional Equipment.
  • Call on management representatives (engineers, architects, etc.) to promote products and services.
  • Review blueprints and plans to develop cost estimates and project production increases.
  • Propose changes in equipment, processes, or materials to reduce costs or improve operations.
  • Provide technical services to clients regarding equipment use, operation, and maintenance.
  • Draw up sales or service contracts.
  • Identify potential clients through territory knowledge, focusing on existing businesses, startups, and non-food service businesses with potential equipment needs.
  • Contact potential clients, frequently in person, to introduce the company and its offerings.
  • Identify client needs through observation and interviews, suggesting products to improve productivity.
  • Match client needs with available products.
  • Close presentations by emphasizing need fulfillment and idea appropriateness.
  • Follow up on client questions in a timely manner.
  • Assist new clients with setting up credit accounts.
  • Participate in resolving credit problems, including returns, defective merchandise, and service issues.
  • Maintain existing accounts by performing the responsibilities listed above.
  • Book orders, analyze needs, and function as a consultant.
