About The Position

As our Project Manager I, at The Ohio State University campus reporting to the Director of Capex, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $5M and supporting projects up to $25M under Program Manager oversight. Every day, you will report onsite to our office located on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, OH. You will simultaneously handle the ideation, development, approval, and execution phase for multiple projects. You will work in collaboration with our Capex team, university stakeholders, and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other applicable field where you have developed foundational skills for an entry level position in Project Management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/ to use a company vehicle and travel across campus to project sites.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $5M and supporting projects up to $25M under Program Manager oversight.
  • Simultaneously handle the ideation, development, approval, and execution phase for multiple projects.
  • Work in collaboration with our Capex team, university stakeholders, and technical stakeholders.
  • Utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices.
  • Monitor project progress in design and construction phases through regular contractor and stakeholder interaction both virtually and in-person on work sites.
  • Liaise with ENGIE entities and colleagues for knowledge sharing.
