About The Position

Flare Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company, is seeking a Project Manager for its Gas Division. This role involves managing high-pressure gas pipeline and facility construction projects from inception to completion. The company, established in 1976, specializes in heavy, civil, industrial, and energy construction services across 12 western states. The Project Manager will work directly with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all regulations. The role offers clear paths for growth and ownership, with opportunities for different experience levels (Level I, II, or III).

Requirements

  • Level I: 1-3 years of construction or project coordination experience, gas or civil background preferred.
  • Level I: Familiarity with estimating and scheduling.
  • Level II: 3-7 years of progressive project management experience, with a track record of independently running mid-size projects.
  • Level III: 7+ years managing complex, high-value construction projects, with proven client relationship and financial management experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but hands-on field or military experience counts just as much.
  • OSHA 30 is preferred
  • Familiarity with DOT Part 192/195 and PHMSA regulations is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage or support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout
  • Build and maintain schedules, budgets, work plans, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with Gas Superintendents and Foremen on daily execution and production targets
  • Track DOT Part 192/195 compliance, OQ documentation, and QA/QC records
  • Prepare RFIs, submittments, change orders, and progress reports
  • Visit job sites regularly and stay connected to the work in the field
  • Help set the tone for a culture of safety, quality, and accountability
  • Level I Project Managers support senior PMs
  • Level II PMs run small to mid-size projects independently
  • Level III PMs lead complex, multi-phase work and mentor other PMs
