About The Position

1-800 Water Damage of San Bernardino County is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Water Damage Restoration. The ideal candidate will be understanding and compassionate towards customers experiencing personal property damage or contamination, and capable of patiently explaining the restoration process. Proficiency in the Xactimate program for insurance processing and billing is required. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to perform emergency services and contents restoration while adhering to company policies, EPA, OSHA, and local regulations. The position requires availability for after-hours and weekend emergency response. As a new company, we are looking for an experienced individual to help us grow.

Requirements

Understanding and compassionate to customers that have faced personal property damage, or contamination.
Capable and willing to patiently explain what is needed to restore what matters most to the customer.
Knowledge of the Xactimate program for insurance processing and proper billing.
Ability to work as part of a team or alone.
Authority to create a new team to perform emergency services and contents restoration work.
Adherence to company policies and procedures regarding remediation.
Adherence to EPA, OSHA, and local requirements regarding safety and hazardous materials handling.
Availability for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Must be in good physical health and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZPOWER) medical surveillance physical examination and drug screening.
Able to wear full and half face respirator.
May work in confined spaces.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50+ pounds.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Construction experience, working on water/smoke damage jobs specifically, mold and water remediation.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions.
Good communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Adherence to company safety policies.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Construction industry experience preferred.
IICRC Water Restoration certification is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Communicate confidently with insurance companies, agents, adjusters, plumbers, and plumbing companies to sell emergency services.
Perform content drying and restoration work on residential and commercial properties.
Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customers' contents, general on-location cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization of facilities.
Communicate confidently with customers.
Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear.
Operate routinely used tools and equipment.
Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance.
May need to perform work at high elevations such as from a ladder and scaffolding.
Possible hazardous Waste Operations.
All other duties as assigned.
