The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: Brief Description of Job/Department The Engineering / PM group is responsible for all phases of project execution from estimation to project closeout. The group is directly responsible for all FM projects, supporting PD projects, and supporting the site FM teams with the day to day operations of each site. The purpose of this position is for project management services within an assigned program/project to achieve BU construction project goals and requirements, that achieve RTX’s strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include program development and construction project oversight, reporting, project manager engagements, and successful delivery of construction projects in accordance with agreed project governance controls. What You Will do: In this role you will Interact regularly with BU client(s), Internal Stakeholders and Leadership Teams to ensure that construction project/program goals and objectives are established and achieved. Develop and implement action plans to correct variances. You’ll anticipate and respond to the client's needs and concerns, manage and lead project management resources in the market and ensure a thorough understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures. You’ll formally engage and supervise internal and external variable project management resources. The role is responsible to: Direct all phases of construction project management including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management. Develop new project engagements with BU from project concept through project completion utilizing with a 3-phase approach; Project Initiation, Planning/Funding and Project Execution. Exhibit a complete understanding of company's corporate governance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within work group. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, contract negotiation, contract execution, contract administration, and closeout. Contracts include RTX’s agreements, client/vendor agreements, company/vendor and supplier agreements. Monitors adherence to policies and procedures regarding internal governance and controls. Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the BU client and Facilities Project Delivery team.

Requirements

  • This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting facilities or related field and at least 8 years prior relevant experience gained in a facilities, or realty service setting.
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing multiple large-scale facilities or real estate development and construction programs/projects to include directing all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and make effective and persuasive presentations to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with and in-depth knowledge of project financial terms and principles with the ability to analyze complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
  • At least 5 years’ experience identifying complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for clients and company
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
