The Project Manager is expected to proactively address issues, drive resolutions, and escalate when necessary to safeguard project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, supply chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, supply chain oversight, or equipment delivery on major capital programs, with demonstrated cost account management or EVMS experience.
  • Experience on nuclear, energy, defense, or heavy industrial capital projects strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of earned value management systems (EVMS), EV metric calculation, EAC development, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, contract administration, SCR review, and procurement change control.
  • Familiarity with integrated master scheduling and milestone governance across complex, multi-year programs.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to identify performance trends, assess project impact, and prepare clear, defensible documentation for leadership review.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator; able to manage relationships with Supply Chain, Engineering, EPC, Operations, and PMO counterparts and drive alignment across organizational boundaries.
  • High degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to team accountability and project success.
  • Subject to qualification requirements in accordance with ANSI/ANS 3.1.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience criteria applicable to the role, including relevant nuclear industry experience where required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between the project organization and Supply Chain for assigned equipment packages; monitor Supply Chain’s development and execution of delivery plans against project milestones.
  • Hold Supply Chain accountable to agreed schedules, milestone dates, and reporting cadences; formally request recovery plans when deficiencies are identified and monitor execution until performance is restored.
  • Ensure Supply Chain is developing and maintaining detailed schedules consistent with project-level milestones in the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS).
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment meetings with EPC, Operations, and Engineering on behalf of EDM; flag and drive engagement when alignment gaps exist.
  • Coordinate planning of project integration activities related to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Equipment Qualification (EQ), commissioning, and system turnover.
  • Escalate unresolved Supply Chain performance issues to leadership with supporting documentation.
  • Hold full cost account management (CAM) responsibility for assigned equipment packages, including budget ownership, cost control, and EV baseline integrity in compliance with EVMS requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and defend the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for assigned cost accounts; authorize and control allocation of budget to Supply Chain.
  • Review supplier monthly reports and validate earned value inputs provided by Supply Chain; challenge unsupported progress claims and ensure EV is grounded in physical completion.
  • Calculate and analyze EV metrics on the defined reporting cycle; identify cost and schedule performance trends and distinguish transient anomalies from systemic variances requiring corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain the Estimate at Completion (EAC) for each assigned cost account using EV performance data, risk-adjusted projections, and remaining work assessments; update on the defined reporting cycle with written justification for any revision.
  • Serve as the primary initiator of change control for assigned cost accounts; identify, document, and route all required scope, cost, and schedule changes through the approved PCN process.
  • Lead project impact assessments for project impacting Supplier Coordination Requests (SCRs) identifying deviation, non-conformance, or cost impact; review forecast variances submitted by Supply Chain and prepare recommendations for leadership approval.
  • Ensure all approved changes are reflected in the IMCS in a timely manner; coordinate with PMO controls to maintain baseline integrity.
  • Identify, document, and track project risks arising from equipment delivery activities, cost performance, and schedule status for assigned packages.
  • Escalate risks that increase overall project risk exposure following project risk management procedures.
