About The Position

Confluence Compliance Companies, LLC (Confluence) is a growing team of environmental professionals based in the Rocky Mountains. Confluence is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Front Range team and support remediation and water quality projects across the Rocky Mountains. The Employee's primary place of work is their home office. Occasional travel to the Employer's offices or other locations may be required with reasonable advance notice. We are looking for an environmental professional with proven consulting experience and a strong background in regulatory compliance. In this role, you coordinate the execution of environmental site assessments and make technical recommendations that move projects toward compliance and closure. You will also prepare and review scopes of work, manage project tracking, supervise junior staff, and prepare deliverables for agencies and clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field, plus 3–7 years of relevant experience in environmental remediation, water quality, or oil & gas compliance (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • Demonstrated project experience and technical expertise, including technical reporting, field scope prearation and execution, and project management.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage your own time.
  • Ability to maintain auditable personal notes on work completed to support billed project work and approved indirect time.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, PG, PE, or CHMM preferred but not required.
  • Remediation and water quality experience
  • Demonstrated experience with ECMC regulations and reporting requirements
  • Technical writing experience with regulatory deliverables
  • Experience with the Esri suite of software products
  • Familiarity with state environmental databases and data management systems

Responsibilities

  • Prepare scopes of work (SOW) and budgets for new and ongoing projects and monitor for, and communicate, any deviations from plans.
  • Author and review technical reports and associated documentation, and deliver those materials to clients and regulators.
  • Prepare and coordinate development of simple and complex proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Supervise 1–3 junior team members or field technicians on a typical project; support their mentoring, training, and day-to-day management.
  • Review and approve timesheets for supervised personnel.
  • Review invoices for budget compliance, communicate deviations, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure project documentation standards and practices comply with company and client policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and participate in daily safety planning exercises for field work, ensuring all project safety planning requirements are strictly adhered to.
  • Participate in the development and enforcement of work product standards, representing the company professionally in both work product and conduct.
  • Travel to and from job sites in personal and/or company-provided field vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate time and submit timesheets on a weekly basis.
