About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager manages Product Supply System Canada facilities and Capital construction projects (Buildings and Facilities) across the entire country.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • University degree in engineering (Civil or Structural) or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ project management experience.
  • Technical expertise in building and facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage multi-year construction projects in any of the 50 distribution facilities.
  • Coordinate, plan and direct the activities of construction projects from beginning to end.
  • Develop and validate scope, budget, timeline and deliverables in planning and execution phases to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Participate in bid reviews and vendor selection.
  • Prepare and execute contractual agreements with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Hire and manage successfully selected subcontractor/vendor activities.
  • Create or utilise required specifications and communicate them.
  • Implement quality control systems to ensure required specifications are met.
  • Develop multi-year capital project plan for assigned facilities in collaboration with strategic and operations teams.
  • Implement construction projects in collaboration with operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to business activities.
  • Communicate with site supervisors and trades to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
  • Provide expertise in project management and Buildings and Facilities, manage project cash flow and ensure delivery of projects on time.
  • Manage the process for suppliers to be included on approved supplier lists for procurement, hiring and supervision.
