About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Project Manager, Engineering to join our Project Management, Product Development team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will be part of the Project Engineering team responsible for the planification and control of all configuration changes on the aircraft. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Project Engineering will be to perform project management duties related to the configuration change management projects to develop the detailed engineering project plans. This will require interfacing with multiple functions inside and outside Engineering as well as interfacing with suppliers to obtain deliverable planning details among others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, with a focus on technical project management (aerospace industry experience preferred)
  • Good understanding of aircraft program development, configuration/change management, and Design Approval Organization (DAO) certification requirements
  • Highly proficient in data extraction, analysis, and visualization (advanced Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, Python, Qlik, Tableau, Apps Script, MS SQL, etc.). Knowledge of SAP is a strong asset
  • Professional fluency in both French and English (written and spoken)
  • Proven ability to inspire, align, and drive cross-functional and multicultural teams toward business objectives in a dynamic environment
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and creative, with strong engineering judgment to navigate changing priorities and simplify complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to summarize key risks, action plans, and next steps for senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Airbus Canada's engineering project management vision through the execution of change management processes and tools associated with the A220 program
  • Develop and drive detailed engineering project plans for configuration change management initiatives
  • Interface with cross-functional internal/external teams and suppliers to align on schedules, planning details, and deliverable commitments.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and log project risks and issues in the tracking systems
  • Leverage project data to build and maintain recurring status reports (weekly/monthly) and dashboards for A220 Engineering Management.
  • Build a collaborative network across Airbus to benchmark working methods, establish best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
