About The Position

MSA is expanding its leadership in the Water/Wastewater sector and is seeking a Project Manager. This role involves supporting water and wastewater infrastructure throughout its entire lifecycle, from planning and design to permitting, construction, and operations. The projects range from municipal drinking water and wastewater systems to complex industrial facilities. The Project Manager will lead clients, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and drive projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate finds satisfaction in seeing a project successfully come together, ensuring a strong team, a clear plan, timely and within-budget delivery, and a satisfied client. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering required
  • Experience with client interaction including council/board meetings required
  • Project management experience required
  • 5+ years of prior experience with Water/Wastewater projects required
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal, public-sector, industrial, and private-sector clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and maintaining clear communication throughout the project
  • Own project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client satisfaction
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and bring together the technical expertise needed to successfully deliver each project
  • Develop project plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing strategies, and project delivery approaches
  • Keep projects moving by identifying issues, making decisions, coordinating resources, and driving follow-through
  • Manage project financial performance and proactively address scope, budget, and schedule challenges
  • Provide oversight and direction for plans, specifications, technical documents, bidding, and construction-phase services
  • Partner with technical leaders and QA/QC staff to deliver high-quality work
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and expectations clearly with clients and internal teams
  • Mentor and support the development of emerging project managers, engineers, and other team members
  • Support project funding and permitting efforts in collaboration with MSA’s funding, regulatory, and technical specialists
  • Participate in client meetings, public meetings, council and board presentations, and other project communications as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships with existing clients and develop new business

  • Compensation Range: $88,871–$159,800 (commensurate with experience)
