About The Position

Manage engineering, procurement, and construction management activities within the mining company. Project manager will generally be responsible for projects in the $200 million range. As the Project Manager Engineering II, you are responsible for planning and executing the safety, engineering, procurement, construction, and customer service for major capital projects within the company. In this role, you are accountable for the scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality associated with projects within the mining company while monitoring work performance and instituting cost controls for projects. You will review and/or develop scopes of work for potential projects within the company and support senior project managers on projects with a value in excess of $200 million. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction; OR Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field and minimum of eight (8) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, and construction.
Thorough understanding of an engineering discipline.
Ability to take a leadership role in the management of a project.
Ability to coordinate multi-disciplined work.
Strong (oral and written) communication and documentation skills.
Strong business ethics.
Ability to manage construction projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
