About The Position

National Grid is hiring a Project Manager for our New England Distribution Line Project Management team. This is a hybrid position and can be based out of any of our Massachusetts locations. Every day we deliver safe and reliable energy to homes, communities, and businesses. As the energy industry continues to evolve, we're investing in critical infrastructure projects that support reliability, sustainability, and the transition to a cleaner energy future. Our Project Management team oversees a portfolio of electric distribution capital projects across New England, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in support of customer and business needs. In this role, you'll manage projects from planning through construction and closeout, collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout the service territory.
  • Must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Experience managing capital or infrastructure-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of capital projects from initiation through construction and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and provide monthly schedule updates.
  • Identify project risks and issues early and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Monitor, forecast, and report project budgets, financial performance, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
  • Support project closeout activities, including financial reconciliation and customer-related project requirements.
