About The Position

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking a Project Manager-Electrical for its Ft. Campbell, KY location. This role supports the federal government, military institutions, municipalities, and major utilities by managing electrical transmission and distribution systems. The Project Manager-Electrical will work onsite at Ft. Campbell, overseeing all project aspects, establishing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress. This is a collaborative role requiring close work with the client to ensure project deliverables meet scope and budget requirements.

Requirements

  • Five to seven (5-7) years of project management experience required (construction or utility experience preferred).
  • Previous experience with City Light & Power may be substituted for project management experience.
  • Experience with blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to delegate work appropriately.
  • Ability to work successfully as a Team Player with various partners from start to finish.
  • Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project team personnel and resources.
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, engineering personnel, and consultants.
  • Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project.
  • Oversee cost control and change management systems.
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with Project Superintendent.
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages with assistance from Estimating Team.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible with CLP goals and client needs.
  • Oversee procurement process with Purchasing Department.
  • Track and balance resources across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections.
  • Communicate and enforce corporate Safety Program with the Safety Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
