About The Position

Feyen Zylstra is seeking a Project Manager for their Charlotte, NC office. This role is responsible for the overall direction, financial and risk management of large commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience in construction project management
  • 5 or more years of experience in construction project management
  • Experience managing multiple large projects
  • Strong knowledge of Bluebeam, Accubid, and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel regionally to project sites as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical construction preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall direction, financial and risk management of large commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Lead multiple large projects successfully.
  • Manage people, resources, goals, and deliverables necessary to make the project successful.
  • Prioritize, delegate, assess risk, communicate, and multi-task.
  • Collaborate, direct, and get the job done when problems arise, things get off track, or an emergency presents itself.
  • Mitigate problems through proper use of processes, standards, and early risk assessment.
  • Measure progress and results, financial and otherwise.
  • Provide clarity and simplify complex information for others.
  • Ensure accurate planning and forecasting.
  • Connect strategies to outcomes and results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Be visible and accessible on job sites.
  • Confidently influence others and resolve conflict.
  • Treat others with respect, appreciate differences, collaborate on important matters, and communicate to prevent and avert problems.
  • Hold the safety of the FZ team as the top priority.
