About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their Epic team in the role of Project Manager-Education. This role coordinates, tracks, and assists with various, often simultaneous, system and facility-specific education projects of a highly complex nature. The Project Manager-Education will collaborate with other IU Health departments and facilities to ensure education events are successfully organized, and will develop and maintain the communication process to ensure effective flow of information within teams, hospital leadership, and external partners. They will also create and execute project work plans, revising them as needed to meet changing needs and requirements, and oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of experience.
  • Requires ability to obtain and apply knowledge of the organization policies and procedures.
  • Requires knowledge of business and clinical applications.
  • Requires 3-5 years progressively responsible professional level experience in a related field.
  • Requires experience using/manipulating data in databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, tracks, and assists with various, often simultaneous, system and facility-specific education projects of a highly complex nature.
  • Collaborates with other IU Health departments and facilities to ensure education events are successfully organized.
  • Develops and maintains the communication process to ensure effective flow of information within teams, hospital leadership, and external partners as appropriate.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Oversees day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Works with team members to develop solutions with sound methodologies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Makes decisions and solve problems within project plan parameters.
  • Recognizes patterns, time sequences, events, or underlying issues in complex relationships.
  • Chooses the best alternative based on consideration of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing, and available resources.
  • Manages projects and initiative budgets and consistently apply principles of core business functions (finance, marketing, economics, sales, technology, and business systems) to make sound judgments.
  • Drives results by assigning clear authority and accountability, integrating and aligning efforts across the team, and monitoring progress against objectives.
  • Conveys a strong sense of urgency around continuous improvement, achieving high quality results, and accelerating business performance.
  • Addresses problems directly and drives changes necessary to achieve business objectives.
