About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of various projects assigned by the Drilling department manager for on time, under budget performance on all assigned, contracted work. The Project Manger will also serve as the liaison between operations personnel. All employees of Weisinger Incorporated must agree to perform work out of town or at night, on the weekends and on holidays with short notice and for an extended period, as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Related experience and/or training in drilling water wells, water plants, pumps and electrical controls
  • Negotiation skills, initiative and persistence required
  • Proven outside sales experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Effective communication skills required
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Basic understanding of engineering concepts, water chemistry and three-phase power required
  • Intermediate personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office Professional Suite (including but not limited to PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel) and internet search engines
  • The individual also must be able to set up and operate a projector and screen for presentations
  • Must carry a Weisinger cell phone and be readily available to assist at all times, either over the phone or by reporting to work, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Two to five years related experience and/or training related to Construction Management and Project Management

Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities in accordance with all policies, principles, and procedures established by Department, Division and Weisinger Inc. Management and Board of Directors.
  • Manage and lead, as necessary, all contract processes including estimating, bidding, and execution of well contracts
  • Communicate with clients, engineers, and hydrologists to identify project specifications
  • Identify potential project risks and issues early and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Coordinate with general contractors and subcontractors as needed, both pre-bid and post award periods
  • Timely coordination and submission of project-related documentation to ensure approval, processing, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Accurately process pay requests and invoices in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and operations management to achieve on time, under budget success
  • Collaborate with QA/QC and HSE to ensure employees are adhering to the company safety guidelines
  • Identify cost savings opportunities on all jobs to improve gross margins
  • Perform all independent and team efforts in a professional and timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include working in another role or in another department as needed.
