About The Position

You will work on the Design and Construction team and will partner with the wider REW team and our global business partners to manage the design and build out of our global work spaces. You will also be a key player in helping to develop our Global Office Expansion workflows, standards, and documentation for the Design and Construction function. Periodic travel to regional offices both domestic and international required (25 % depending on project requirements).

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering successful Tenant Improvement projects, either as part of the Owner’s internal team, or on the vendor size.
  • Ability to articulate the overall project management process as it relates to the world of Design and Construction, and understand all the main vendors and teams required to bring a successful project to fruition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating with people both on the Owner side and the vendor side.
  • Highly organized and ability to manage complex teams with multiple disciplines.
  • Self-directed, well-organized and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, and possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sufficient knowledge of English to have professional verbal and written exchanges in this language since the performance of the duties related to this position requires frequent and regular communication with colleagues and partners located worldwide and whose common language is English.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Construction Management or BA in Interior Design.
  • Experience delivering renovations and/or tenant improvement projects is considered a high asset.
  • Facilities certification CFM, Project Management Programming (PMP) certification, IFMA credentials.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD or REVIT.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Global Office Expansion projects such as tenant improvements, functional upgrades and office densifications.
  • Collaborating with Unity’s Finance team to create budgets, report cashflow and other financial information, and to ensure that projects are delivered within budget tolerances.
  • Working with Procurement and Legal teams to conduct RFPs (request for proposals) and to select appropriate vendors to partner with Unity on our various projects.
  • Cooperating with our Lead of Design and Construction, Head of Real Estate and Workplace, as well as other REW leads and internal partners to develop project principles and scopes of work.
  • Leading all internal and external project communications, and keeping all partners accountable to high quality and agreed scope and executing projects that meet our global build standards.
  • Managing the day-to-day project specifics, acting as the main point of contact between stakeholders.
  • Leading the development of the scope of work, budget, scheduling, and procurement in accordance with the business needs and project’s objectives.
  • Being responsible for all phases of project lifecycles, including identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Being in charge of project documentation and reporting, ensuring clear and consistent communication and record keeping across projects.
