About The Position

This role involves researching, evaluating, recommending, and managing technologies and practices to reduce energy costs at facilities nationwide. The Project Manager will manage various general construction, repair, and facility maintenance projects, including planning and coordinating maintenance schedules. Responsibilities include planning and directing work, addressing complaints, resolving issues, and studying production schedules to minimize interference with operations. The role also involves overseeing small projects, contracting out jobs, and implementing larger projects as directed by upper management. Nationwide travel is required, and regular attendance is essential. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and employees must be able to perform any assigned tasks as operational, safety, and other needs arise.

Requirements

  • BS in construction management or engineering; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Up to five years’ experience in small to medium projects, general construction project management with emphasis on lighting, energy savings programs and solar power systems preferred
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to learn on the job and/or experience to read and interpret documents such as building and site plans, safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Well versed in MS Word, Excel and Access
  • Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, recommend and manage technologies and practices that will reduce energy costs such as lighting, retrofits, automatic controls and solar power systems at facilities throughout the country
  • Manage various general construction and repair projects
  • Manage various facility maintenance projects as required
  • Plan and coordinate schedules of maintenance for facilities/buildings
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws
  • Planning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving issues
  • Study production and operation schedules and confer with other staff and supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of establishment
  • Oversee small projects; contract out jobs when applicable
  • Implement larger projects as directed and coordinated by upper management
  • Nationwide travel is required
