The Project Manager, under the direction of a Senior Project Manager or managing supervisor, is responsible for the planning and execution of capital improvements and renovation programs within Essex, particularly preservation and maintenance of assets, in accordance with policies and procedures defined by the company. The Project Manager is responsible for the generation of the project scope, solicitation of outside vendor bids, establishing parameters, and appraising those bids for quality conformance to specifications, cost savings, and recommending desirable vendors to the Senior Project Manager of Capital and Maintenance Services as needed. The position is also responsible for creating yearly capital budgets and executing these projects throughout the fiscal year.
