About The Position

The Project Manager - Construction and Maintenance will plan, coordinate, and direct construction, renovations, retrofits, and repairs to Werner's buildings and infrastructure. They will assist with vendor contracts, budgets, safety compliance, and maintenance, ensuring that the work is completed on time and meets high-quality standards.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and building codes.
Ability to build schedules, manage budgets, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to act as a liaison between external consultants, contractors, executive staff, and employees.
Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
3-5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, or a related field.
A degree in construction management, facilities management or engineering or significant work experience.

Responsibilities

Manage site planning, facility upgrades, and capital investments, from project inception through construction, bid, and award.
Develop and control project budgets, review payment applications, and manage vendor contracts.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
Coordinate contractors, conduct site visits, and ensure maintenance tasks, such as HVAC or mechanical improvements, are completed effectively.
Handle long-range planning for facility enhancements and manage space optimization to improve operational efficiency.
This role has possible after hours work and may assist with snow plowing or other unexpected needs.
