The Opportunity We’re seeking a Development Project Manager to lead affordable housing developments from post-award through stabilization and closeout. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you’ll be responsible for driving projects across the full development lifecycle—working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to bring complex, meaningful communities to life.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Construction, Urban Planning, or related field preferred
  • Experience in real estate development, construction, or related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through due diligence, entitlements, design, permitting, construction, and closeout
  • Serve as the primary owner accountable for project success
  • Manage schedules, budgets, risks, and critical path items
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, attorneys, and agencies
  • Drive strategy and proactively solve execution challenges
  • Maintain accountability throughout construction and contractor performance
  • Partner with Design & Construction leadership on technical execution
  • Oversee schedules, issue resolution, and overall project delivery
  • Lead project closeout, turnover, and stabilization activities
  • Coordinate with Finance and Property Management through lease-up and conversion
  • Manage budgets, contingencies, and change orders
  • Maintain accurate reporting, schedules, and documentation
  • Coordinate lender, investor, and compliance requirements
  • Identify and escalate risks proactively
  • Lead coordination across Development, Finance, Construction, and Asset Management
  • Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders
  • Participate in public meetings, jurisdictional coordination, and community engagement
  • Drive accountability across all partners to keep projects moving
