About The Position

The Project Manager – Clinical Platform Program exists to lead and deliver technically complex bioinformatics and data‑driven initiatives that enable reliable, scalable, and compliant genomic analysis and reporting. This role partners with lab operations, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to translate analytical workflows into executable plans that improve operational efficiency and diagnostic quality. Success is defined by on‑time delivery of validated solutions, clear management of technical risk and dependencies, and sustained impact on clinical platform performance as organizational needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on technical, software, or dry lab-driven projects, and at least 3 years supporting bioinformatics, data, or healthcare technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technically complex projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience managing cross‑functional teams, including bioinformatics scientists, software engineers, analysts, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working with data pipelines, analytical workflows, or laboratory informatics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of technical dependencies, system integrations, and validation considerations in regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and technical meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity, evolving technical requirements, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including highly technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience applying Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies based on project context.
  • Proficiency in project management and issue‑tracking software (Jira preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and process rigor.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, life science, or a related technical field.
  • Project management certifications (PMP or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of lab (dry and bioinformatics) operations projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and in alignment with clinical and organizational priorities.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, dependency maps, and risk registers to proactively mitigate delivery, data, and validation risks across dry lab workflows.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams (bioinformatics, software engineering, clinical operations, product) to drive execution, resolve blockers, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
  • Translate complex analytical and computational requirements into clear, executable project deliverables that support scalable and compliant genomic analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze project performance metrics (timeline adherence, risk trends, validation readiness) to support leadership decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Report project status, risks, and outcomes to program leadership through clear, data‑driven updates and summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and data‑governance standards by supporting documentation, audits, and validation activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives and evolving program needs.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
