About The Position

Flare Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company, is a full-service contractor providing heavy, civil, industrial, and energy construction and maintenance services, as well as environmental and reclamation services for customers primarily in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Nevada. We're hiring a Project Manager to lead civil construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through execution and closeout. This role owns budget, schedule, and client coordination while also supporting the estimating function — building quantity takeoffs, cost projections, and competitive bids for civil earthwork and sitework packages.

Requirements

• Experience managing or estimating civil construction projects (grading, earthwork, sitework, or related scope)
• Working knowledge of construction project controls: scheduling, cost tracking, and budget forecasting
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Proficiency with construction management/estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the western U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field or military experience considered

Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, owning budget, schedule, and scope
• Prepare and support estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages using historical cost and productivity data
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel to keep projects aligned
• Track costs, forecast budget performance, and manage change orders, RFIs, and submittments
• Coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen on daily field execution, SWPPP/environmental compliance, and QA/QC
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the project team
