About The Position

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Project Manager with strong technical and leadership skills to work in the real estate development, institutions, and infrastructure market sectors. The role involves interacting with clients and managing projects that require site characterization, due diligence assessments, environmental investigation related to soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion issues, state and USEPA regulatory interaction, and field support during remedy implementation and construction. The position also offers the opportunity to work on challenging environmental and integrated environmental/geotechnical services projects for a wide range of clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company, located in their New York City, NY or White Plains, NY office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science in civil or environmental engineering, geology/hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of environmental experience.
  • Experience working in the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program and New York City Office of Environmental Remediation Program.
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training required.
  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer and/or Professional Geologist licensure in the State of New York or the ability to obtain licensure within 1-year is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client needs and develop strong client relationships.
  • Manage financial and technical aspects of projects.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication and written skills, including client deliverables and regulatory submittals.
  • Effectively assign and manage work.
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Utilize skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Plan and direct environmental field observation and testing programs, including laboratory test selection and data evaluation.
  • Collaborate with and lead multi-disciplinary project teams on all aspects of the project to address client goals and objectives, with a primary focus on site characterization; due diligence assessments; environmental investigation related to soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion issues; state and USEPA regulatory interaction; and field support during remedy implementation and construction.
