About The Position

Psomas, a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a Project Manager for their Land Development team in Tucson, AZ. This role involves leading the planning, design, and delivery of various residential, commercial, municipal, and public infrastructure projects across Arizona. The ideal candidate will be a civil engineering professional who thrives on project ownership, multidisciplinary collaboration, client relationship development, and solving complex challenges. Psomas is open to various experience levels and will tailor responsibilities accordingly.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional experience in civil engineering, land development, site development, or related infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to or lead civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of civil/site development principles, including grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure design.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with clients, project teams, agencies, and other stakeholders.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona, or the ability to obtain one, preferred/required based on level and project responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing residential, commercial, municipal, or public works projects.
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Experience coordinating with local municipalities or public agencies.
Experience with project budgets, schedules, proposals, and client development.
Previous experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other professionals.
Arizona civil engineering or land development experience.

Responsibilities

Lead civil engineering projects and coordinate project teams from planning and design through construction.
Build trusted relationships with clients and serve as a key point of contact throughout project delivery.
Provide technical direction and review for grading, drainage, utilities, roadway, and other site development improvements.
Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and overall project performance.
Work with engineers, designers, surveyors, planners, environmental professionals, and other disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions.
Communicate with municipalities, public agencies, and regulatory stakeholders to advance project approvals and resolve issues.
Support proposals, interviews, client pursuits, and relationship-building activities that contribute to continued growth.
Share technical knowledge and support the development of engineers and designers as appropriate to your experience.
