About The Position

As a Project Manager for AECOM Aviation, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering critical solutions for airports across the US. This position is responsible for delivering high‑impact solutions for major airside and landside programs—projects that improve capacity, safety, efficiency, and overall passenger experience. In this role, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams through the planning, design, and construction of complex aviation improvements, ensuring alignment with FAA standards, while delivering the quality and innovation our clients expect. The projects you’ll support are not only technically significant—they are highly visible, transformative initiatives that strengthen national transportation systems. Job Summary: Project management of planning and design team members, sub-consultants, and contractors for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects of airfield and landside projects for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports. Responsible for developing, supported by an experienced team of airport consultants, the planning, design, and construction administration of airports, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans. Mentor and develop staff, provide leadership and an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative, and growth. Receive mentorship from the most experienced airport consultants in the US. Supervision, coordination, and production of several projects concurrently. Develop and maintain strong client relationships Coordinate with clients, funding agencies, state aviation officials, FAA, and local permit Agencies

Requirements

  • BS Engineering or related field and 8 years of airside and landside airport project management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • As a condition of ongoing employment, candidate will be required to obtain AECOM PM certification within 12-14 months
