About The Position

SOCOTEC’s Environment and Safety team provides expert environmental, health and safety consultancy and compliance services that help organisations manage risk, protect people and safeguard the environment. Our services include environmental monitoring and consultancy, water safety and hygiene solutions with Legionella risk assessments and water system management, fire safety consultancy and inspections, occupational hygiene assessments and workplace exposure monitoring, and specialist advisory support on regulatory and sustainability challenges. We use industry-leading tools and science-based approaches to deliver accurate data, practical guidance and innovative solutions that ensure compliance with UK legislation, minimise environmental impact and create healthier, safer workplaces for clients. As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our Environment & Safety division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride. We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Project Manager to join our Environment & Safety team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in asbestos consultancy and project management, along with strong client-facing skills, is essential to thrive in this position.

Requirements

  • BOHS P402, P403, P404 and/or P405 qualifications
  • Project management experience within asbestos services
  • Strong organisational, leadership and commercial skills
  • Confidence to work independently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Strong client-facing skills

Nice To Haves

  • Background in asbestos consultancy and project management

Responsibilities

  • Programming and managing asbestos testing and inspection works
  • Maintaining client relationships and overseeing contract performance
  • Ensuring compliance with UKAS, quality and health & safety procedures
