About The Position

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our amazing culture. As a Project Manager, you are part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows. This role involves planning, scheduling, organizing, and directing application engineering, field installation, and start-up of assigned projects. The position ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost and time schedules and ensures positive cash flow. It serves as the key interface with the customer, responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. The highest level of Project Manager has direct reports, high volume and/or critical accounts and customers.

Requirements

  • Expert project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
  • Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principals.
  • Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control.
  • College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management
  • 5 years supervisory

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

Responsibilities
