About The Position

Take the next step forward in your career with the Department of Corrections! As a Project Manager 1, you will help move critical technology projects from ideas to results. This position gives you the opportunity to serve in the Public Safety Information Technology Delivery Center's (PSITDC) Project Management Office, and perform professional and administrative work planning, directing, controlling, and implementing information technology (IT) projects within the PSITDC. This role supports the planning and management of information technology projects for public safety agencies across the Commonwealth. It requires coordination, communication, and leadership in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Business Analyst 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects and a bachelor’s degree
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed project plans for all phases of assigned projects
• Define project scope, monitor proposed changes, and document approvals
• Identify risks and issues, prepare mitigation strategies, and execute contingency actions
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to produce required project documents
• Monitor project schedules, track key milestones, and take corrective action when needed
• Develop communications plans and keep staff informed of timelines and expectations
