About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry-Level Project Management Specialist to join their team in Smithfield, Pennsylvania. This role will require someone who is able to travel domestically up to 10% of the time. This position supports a growing Manufacturing team in a mixed model high rate environment. The specialist will independently develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. They will perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), and risk assessments to determine impacts and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, and program initiatives. The role involves creating schedules, reports, and metrics, managing change activity, and regularly communicating and updating plans throughout the lifecycle of a program or project. The specialist will work to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision-makers. This role directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion, acting as the primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. They will also assist customers in developing performance recovery plans and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing stakeholder support.

Requirements

  • Experience Project Management or Project Scheduling
  • Experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Production Projects from New Concept engineering support and production planning to full rate production phases.
  • Supports a growing Manufacturing team in a mixed model high rate environment.
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
