About The Position

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Project Management Specialist to assist engineering teams in cross-functional activities from order to delivery of test objects. This role involves gathering engineering specifications, creating project build plans, documenting testing needs, and managing engineering project plans and timelines for physical test objects. The specialist will support product build project teams by informing them of delivery timeframes and ensuring the specification and ordering of test objects are completed. Responsibilities include conducting variant and BOM reviews with stakeholders, creating accurate Bills of Material (BOM) for test objects, and managing/coordinating the engineering build of prototype electric vehicles and combustion-engine trucks with autonomous driving technologies. These projects support the validation of vehicle architecture, electrical systems, integration of new EV components, and autonomous systems development. The role also involves leading engineering build activities for physical vehicle modifications in response to new customer requirements or performance expectations, ensuring engineering changes are correctly built, validated, and documented. Formal project management processes, including scope definition, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and cross-functional coordination, are to be applied. Utilization of engineering and enterprise systems such as SAP, Windows-based engineering tools, Creo View, and internally developed systems (Protom, Ghost) for managing BOMs, workflows, documentation, and build execution is required. The 'test objects' are prototype commercial vehicles (trucks) used for engineering validation and testing of fully electric truck platforms, autonomous driving trucks, and active/passive vehicle safety systems.
