About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to join the Fabrication-Emergent Operations team in Everett, WA on First Shift. This role leads projects including capital equipment selection and installation, expense projects and equipment relocations, incoming SOW assessments and implementations, work movements, planning and implementation directives, strategic initiatives, and other special projects. The specialist will collaborate with the BCA Airplane Programs and the BDS KC-46 Program, presenting project status, risks, and performance to executive leadership. The role involves developing and maintaining integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, conducting studies and analyses, identifying risks and opportunities, developing mitigation plans, refining business cases, and establishing lead time requirements. The specialist will also facilitate the integration of project plans and schedules, acting as the primary project contact to establish stakeholder requirements and objectives, and directing all phases of projects from inception through completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management (supporting diverse programs and projects) with the capability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • 5+ years of experience developing integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics
  • Proven ability to manage change control processes and to produce clear status reporting and recovery plans
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Leads projects which include, but are not limited to, the following: Capital equipment selection and installation, Expense projects and equipment relocations, incoming SOW assessments and implementations, Work movements, Planning and implementation directives, strategic initiatives, and other special projects.
  • Collaborate regularly with the BCA Airplane Programs and with the BDS KC-46 Program.
  • Presenting project status, risks, performance to plan, etc. to executive leadership to gain required approvals and strategic direction.
  • Leads develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.
