About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join our Parts Materials Process Control Board (PMPCB) team located in El Segundo, CA. This role involves managing and acting as the Control Point of approved parts lists (APL) for all El Segundo space programs. The specialist will collaborate with PMPCB chairs, engineering, M&P, Survivability, Planning, and Supplier Management. The position requires effective communication, influence, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic parts, work well independently with diverse groups, and possess a proven track record of successfully managing and integrating projects from initiation through completion. This position requires U.S. Person status for export control compliance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in aerospace or defense industry
  • 3+ years’ experience in electrical, electronic and electromechanical (EEE) parts and materials
  • 10+ years of experience in a role that requires project management skills
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Familiarity with engineering disciplines and their roles within complex programs.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
