Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or in a technical or business-related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of diversified project experience in the energy industry.
  • For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (total of 10 years).
  • Strong Project Manager experience being responsible/accountable for all project functions from inception to closeout.
  • Project experience with the FERC process, as well as with Federal, State and local agency permitting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of employees, management and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record to optimally solve problems by using analytical skills to reach a logical conclusion.
  • Experience with gas transmission operations and related codes and regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate all functional groups into an overall project team.
  • Be accountable for the overall success of the assigned projects.
  • Prepare and complete project execution plans (safety, quality, scope, schedule, cost and performance).
  • Development and dissemination of the project budget to all functional groups within the team.
  • Implementing the project within this budget and ensuring the organizational change processes are implemented.
  • Coordinate a resource plan for each project and identify project risks, mitigation measures, exposures and opportunities that may impact the success of the subject projects.
  • Champion the diligent adherence to the Five Phase Project Life Cycle control process on each project.
  • Facilitates communication channels and the issuance of reports that reflect the status and health of the assigned projects to the appropriate Management groups.
  • Serve as the focal point for project and service activities performed by the Project execution and non-technical support groups for both internal and external customers.
