About The Position

Samsung Wallet is a mobile payment service and digital wallet developed by Samsung. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for all debit cards, credit cards, digital passes and tickets, making them easy to access and use when necessary. With the rise of NFC payment terminals in stores and evolving consumer preferences over the past year, Samsung Wallet has never been more important. We are seeking a PMO (Project Management Officer) with at least 5 years of experience who is highly organized and detail-oriented. The PMO will be responsible for managing a variety of projects, work closely with the Business and Product owners to ensure commercial launch of critical Wallet features on time, will handle day-to-day tasks including planning managing dependencies across work streams, beta testing facilitation, contract management, CMS (Content Management System) management, and marketing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, along with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as project management, business, or computer science
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • At least 3 years of experience with mobile applications focused on wallet capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Project, JIRA)
  • Track record of navigating organizational complexity
  • Proficiency in Korean language is desirable, but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently towards timely launch, identifying and resolving dependencies across workstreams, managing the overall schedule and keeping it updated
  • Manage internal team processes including budget and finance, vendor onboarding and marketing program submissions
  • Handle day-to-day activities necessary to keep the project moving, including facilitate beta testing, drive closure of contract and marketing tasks by respective stakeholders, managing CMS (Content Management System) etc.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines all the work streams, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time; or highlight risks and red flags early on to the executives
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that project goals and deliverables are understood and met
  • Identify and resolve issues and risks that may impact project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, legal, marketing, development, and operations, to ensure that all project dependencies are properly managed
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiations and tracking of deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports and project artifacts
